The PIUG NE Workshop will be held at American Cyanamid Agricultural
Research Center in Princeton NJ on Tuesday, October 14 starting at
about 9 or 9:30 am and ending between 3 and 4 pm. Definite times
and schedule will be announced later.
Morning Session: Competitive Intelligence Speakers:
1. Pat Bartling (Cyanamid): What CI is and is Not
2. Bob Cantrell (Derwent): Use of Patents in CI;
3. Chris Marquart (Wyeth-Ayerst): Economic Espionage Act - what
you can't do; or Competitive Intelligence Methodologies Used to
Target a Company's R&D Effort
Lunch (in company cafeteria, pay for own lunch)
Afternoon Sessions: User Driven - mini-sessions and round table
discussion(5-15 min) on searchers' techniques, tips,
preferences, tricks, approaches, methods - volunteers please!.
1. Formulations - round table discussion
2. General (anything to do with searching patents/intellectual
property.
For the afternoon, let us know if you would like to share your
favorite tips, techniques, etc. (about 5 min/person?) If you have
overheads, pls. send them to me (snailmail or email) so I can have
them photocopied ahead of time.
