Rudolph Potenzone, Jr. To Head Chemical Technologies Group at MDL
Information Systems, Inc.
SAN LEANDRO, California--January 21, 1997--MDL Information Systems, Inc.
(Nasdaq National Market System: MDLI), the leading supplier of scientific
information management systems, has hired Rudolph Potenzone, Jr., formerly
of Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), to manage the development of its
software tools for chemical representation, searching, and storage. He
will join MDL as vice president, Chemical Technologies.
As director of research and new product development at CAS, Potenzone
introduced the award-winning SciFinder product line. Prior to joining CAS,
he was responsible for scientific and chemical applications at
Polygen/Molecular Simulations, Inc. Potenzone also brings to MDL over
seven years of industrial experience managing chemical information systems
for American Cyanamid Company, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
