Hello,
At the PIUG meeting arranged by Adrienne Shanler and Barbara Burg on October
22, 1996, Sandra gave a presentation on the development of the PIUG Web
Pages and the PIUG Email Archive. The PIUG Web Pages are hosted by the
Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) and the PIUG Email Archive is hosted by
Derwent. The Web Pages are intended to capture somewhat more formal
information in a well structured format. The Email Archive is intended to
capture the messages that are sent to the PIUG email list and includes
messages from the past few years.
The PIUG Web Page, hosted by CAS, was demonstrated at the meeting, but is
still undergoing final testing and verification. These web pages are
currently password protected, just to give the Electronic Communications
Committee time to verify and test the pages before release.

The PIUG Archive of email messages, hosted by Derwent, was also demonstrated
at the meeting and is ready and available for immediate use. The archive is
searchable and sortable. The email archive is currently in two sections:
April, 1996 - Present
June, 1995 - April, 1996
