Patent Information on INternet from Europe.

The EPO Administrative Council has approved a european project for
distribution of Patent Information: it is called "Distributed Internet
Patent Information Services "(DIPS).
Goals:
1- Provide basic information, promote Patent awareness.
2- Aimed at non patent professionals
3- Accessible worldwide via the Internet
4- Information dissemination via the EPO National Offices
5- Free of charge to end users
Through the Internet page of the National Office of your choice, in the
language of your choice, access will be given to 3 levels of content:
a- Documentation of the National Office chosen only.
b- Documentation of an other european National Office.
c- World documentation.
The system will particularly provide access to the EPO publications and the
EPO register.
It will be into place in June 1998.
