CAS translations of Japanese company names

Can someone explain CAS's policy on translating Japanese
company names? This morning I received an abstract of
a patent with the assignee listed as "Teijin Hercules Chemical Co., Ltd." However,
the assignee on the patent itself is "Teijin-Metton Co., Ltd." A check
of Teijin's web site confirmed that "Teijin-Metton" is the English translation
used by the company itself.
