lexpat on Lexis-Nexis does have hyperlinks to patents cited in the
body of patents; however, these are for easy cross-referencing of
patentee-cited references and not built for doing any extensive
analysis to distinguish patent office cites from patentee cites. This
operates much like linking case law cites in legal documents so you
can readily refer to related cases as you go along in your research.
The big caveats: As Edlyn Simmons states, foreign references are not
so linked and neither are journal references, so some very pertinent
references get left out of the linkages.
