Guaranteed Coverage of Chemical Patents in Chemical Abstract

We are pleased to announce that effective 1 January 1996, the patent
coverage policy for Chemical Abstracts (CA) has been expanded to
include a family member for all chemical patents that are assigned
any of an extensive list of International Patent Classification (IPC)
codes, without exception! Additional patents are selected for
coverage from another extensive IPC list. These lists are now
available from the CAS home page at http://www.cas.org/.

A summary of patent coverage in CA may be viewed more directly at
http://www.cas.org/EO/caspat.html. The summary includes direct links
to the following lists: (a) Country List for Patents Covered; (b) IPC
List for Guaranteed Coverage; and (c) IPC List for Partial Coverage.
