We are in the process of evaluating the possibility of switching to a
new (and improved?) text management system (to manage bibliographic
and/or full-text and/or multi-format documents), and possibly a new
library management system. These two need not be related, although it
would be great if they both worked off of the same underlying dbms.
Of course, we're interested in systems with advanced search
capabilities, including boolean logic support, proximity searching,
truncation, sorting, and relevancy ranking (don't want much, do we?)
Thanks to Greg and the USPTO, we're aware of BRS as a possibility... Any
recommendations? Critiques of systems on the market/in use?
Thanks as always for your input.
Cheers,
Melissa
