Dear Questel*Orbit Customers,

On December 1st, Questel*Orbit will start the millennium celebrations =
early, with the official completion of the IPG Project and the release of =
the newly enhanced Questel*Orbit online service. With this new service =
comes the transition of the Orbit search engine to Questel*Orbit, ensuring =
that Orbit searchers can continue to access the information you need - =
plus more=21
=20
The goal of the IPG Project was to create the premier intellectual =
property information service for professional searchers. Not only have we =
achieved this goal, we have exceeded our own expectations. We now offer =
the largest collection of intellectual property databases, including 37 =
patent and 17 trademark databases, along with some of the most powerful =
searching features in the industry. =20

The enhanced Questel*Orbit service provides longtime Orbit searchers, as =
well as searchers from other systems, with the best of Orbit=27s search =
functionalities and database features. The new Questel*Orbit platform =
brings together features and files that were requested on Orbit for years, =
but were not possible --- such as: full-text searching, features such as =
the LIMIT command, left-hand truncation, and user-defined print formats, =
just to name a few.

Additionally, we have gone through great lengths to incorporate Orbit =
commands and display formats in the new service to make it easier for you =
to use. Existing Orbit SDIs have been automatically transferred to the new =
Questel*Orbit service. Plus the new Questel*Orbit service can be searched =
with your existing Orbit Userid and Security Code.

We at Questel*Orbit invite you to celebrate the evolution of Orbit into =
the new Questel*Orbit.

The Orbit to Questel*Orbit transition takes place on November 30, 1999 at =
6pm, Eastern Standard Time.

This is just the beginning. In the coming months we will be releasing =
additional databases and features as well as new ways to access the =
Questel*Orbit service.

We thank all of you who helped us develop the new Questel*Orbit and also =
thank you for your business.

Sincerely,

David T. Dickens
