> My attention was brought to WO9916947 which is titled "Crimped
Multicomponent > Filament...". But the specification is disclosing a

actually published that way. What's up with that?
Several kind, generous people helped me and I would like to share what
they taught me.
First to help was Ken Gemmil who not only provided information but went
above and beyond the call of duty and sent a copy! His response:
> I'm attaching the corrected copy of WO9916947. WIPO issues these on their
>cdroms under the title A6. They are intended to replace the A2's or A1's. I
>suppose its up to the database providers as to whether they actually do it
>or not. Reedfax had the correct one in this case.
Thanks again Ken. Second to the cause was Mariette Hellenbrandt of FIZ
Karlsruhe who sent the following:
>Dear Steve,
>
>this is not an answer to you question, just a hint where to find some more
>information. If you look at the legal status display in INPADOC on STN you
>find the following:

And finally Nicole Berard sent the following. In subsequent emails she
has offered to serve as a contact for future questions regarding misprinted
PCT documents so I have included her contact information:
>Your message was sent to me as the Head of the PCT Publication Section.
>WO 99/16947 was indeed wrongly published on April 8, 1999 but a corrected
version has been published on June 10, 1999.
>I am surprised that you do not have the correct version as the corrected
pamphlet was published both on paper form and on electronic form.
>I hope that you got the correct version in the meantime.
>
>Regards

In summary I would like to thank Ken, Mariette, and Nicole for their help
and for permission to summarize their messages here. I hope it helps
someone else.
By the way, no response from Derwent on how they handled this publication.

Steve Reynolds
