When I saw the announcement about the closing of NTIS, I immediately emailed
the agency to express my concern, as Bill does in his message to this list.
I feel closing this agency is a great loss; their services enabled
scientists and librarians to easily obtain government technical reports and
their database provided the only reliable access to all of those documents.
It is amazing to me that educated people think the internet by itself is a
good way to access valuable technical information.
