I agree with Alan about Johnstone's book, We Were Burning : Japanese
Entrepreneurs and the Forging of the Electronic Age. I found it to be the
first valid explanation I have seen of how and why the Japanese have been
so successful in high-tech fields. Many of the quotations come from people
I know in the semiconductor industry, and it all rings true.
