3M Position Title: Advanced/Senior Technical Librarian/Information Analyst
Primary Duties: Provide in-depth technical information research support to
employees using a wide array of electronic and print resources. Consult
with employees on information management issues; support technical teams by
identifying, distilling and conveying technical information related to
particular projects.
Required Qualifications: ALA accredited Master of Library/Information
Science degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree in chemistry,
chemical engineering, physics, biology, engineering. Industrial experience
desirable; team-oriented, flexible; independent and collaborative in a
complex, changing environment; strong service ethic and demonstrated
iniative; demonstrated experience in online technical information retrieval
(including Dialog, STN, Internet effective use) (3+years); excellent
oral/written communication skills.
