Dear Suzanne-
SIRs have been issued more or less in numerical order starting with the
first SIR, H000001, issued December 3, 1985. Some "H" numbers are not
associated with a SIR, however. These unused numbers are referred to as
withdrawn document numbers. The Patent and Trademark Office has issued 1,780
SIRs as of the end of April, 1999. The last SIR issued as of the end of
April was H001794, issued April 6.

Withdrawn H numbers which do not correspond to a SIR include the following:
