INFORMATION SCIENTIST - Biomedical searching

The Library Information Center at the Schering-Plough Research
Institute, Kenilworth, NJ has a job opening for an information
scientist. The successful candidate will design scientific and
science-related literature searches for retrieval, analysis,
evaluation and reporting of material from the scientific literature,
including patents, to provide relevant, authenticated, and timely
information for all levels of employees from all Schering-Plough
units. This requires the utilization of commercial databases such as
STN, Dialog, MEDLINE and Internet.

A BS degree in a life science or chemistry and experience in a
research environment is required. A Masters degree in a life science,
chemistry, information or library science and experience in the
pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills,
excellent verbal and communication skills and knowledge of computer
technologies are also required.
