Like other more generalist searchers, both literature and chemical
indexing have been important to my searching, so I search the CA files
along WPI, API (if available), etc. The PIBSA terms that API added in
1992 are of course of no help for searching prior to that date. In
addition, I wonder if they are used just for PIBSA per se, or if they
are applied to the more generic compositions (polyalkenyl...) described
by Stu Kaback in the original note in this string.
I repeat my previous question. Does anyone have any observations on how
well the various A&I services perform on indexing PIBSAs and their ilk.
I appreciate this could be somewhat proprietary for the searchers
organization, but hopefully some general observations exist that would
enlighten us but not "spill the beans".
