Patent file wrappers are paper only to the best of my knowledge. If you want one, you have to copy it yourself (or get someone else to do it) at the USPTO. The USPTO does not provide copies. I think they are available in the public search room. I also think a lot of them are missing, but thats another story.

An attorney client recently asked me if USPTO file wrapper information
was available electronically. I did not know the answer to this and
made a few calls.
A Derwent person in Virginia told me that they can provide US and
European file wrappers in paper copies. They said that the USPTO wants
to offer the information electronically at some point in the future, but
that she didn't know when this would happen.

I spent a little time at the USPTO website but did not find anything at
all on file wrappers.

Does anyone on the list have any other information on this?

Thanks,
