We are pleased to announce the release of a new feature on
the Questel.Orbit service.

The Legal Feature allows you to automatically display
corresponding legal status information from within any
patents database. This easy-to-use feature, which is
executed at the time of display, saves you time in crossfile
searching, then post processing to obtain the same
information in the same format.

We have created a number of commands to give you the
flexibility in displaying the legal status information from one or
a combination of our legal status databases.

Legal Command Databases
-------------------- ------------
LEGAL LGST (Legal Status)
LEGALUS CRXX, PAST, LITA
LEGALEP EPAT (EVEN format)
LEGALIFI CRXX
LEGALALL LGST, CRXX, PAST, LITA

For example, after completing a search in the WPIL
database, you can add the LEGAL display option, to display
the corresponding Legal Status information to the WPIL
display. Using the LEGALALL option will display
corresponding information in all the legal status databases,
LGST, CRXX, PAST, and LITA.

To use the feature, include one of the Legal Feature
commands to the display format. PRT MAX SET LEGAL -
will display the entire set of a search in MAX format, and will
add the corresponding Legal Status records from the LGST
database.

The Legal Feature will only work in monobase and not cluster
mode (multifile).

At this time, there is no charge for using this feature, however
you will be charged for the normal display charges and
connect time for the legal status files.

Please call your local Questel.Orbit Help Desk for any
assistance.
