Well, I grabbed the US Issue Years & Patent Numbers table which I
downloaded & printed from the PTO's Website last fall, and, appropos of the
Web, discovered it has disappeared. It was at:

http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/ac/ido/oeip/taf/issuyear.htm

It provided in tabular format by year of issue the utility, design, plant,
reissue, SIR, etc. from 1836 to 1998. If by any chance someone from the
PTO reads this post, please forward it to someone in the Technology
Assessment & Forecast Office, who placed the report up originally. It's a
very handy document, one deserving of a reincarnation on the PTO site,
preferably at a more visible level.

Great posts, Stephen Adams et. al.

And if anyone comes across a source for a more current concordance of
patent/application numbers, I'm sure the list would like to know.
