Priority Application Number

I am hoping someone will be able to help me with a patent
priority application number.

The patent application is WO 98/42944, Apparatus and a Method For
Drilling Boreholes. The first priority is US 29/069,146, 3/24/97.
My question is what does the 29 indicate?

There are two additional priorities, US 08/828,753, 3/24/97, and
GB 9725740.6, 12/5/97. Note that the two US priorities have the
same date.

I have spoken with Derwent and tried to contact WIPO, but have
not received an answer.

I can fax the cover sheet if that will help.
