The course name has been changed from "Patent Searching" because its focus
is on patents as scientific and legal documents, patent law, and general
approaches to patent searching rather than on the process of searching
itself. However, although the new name reflects PERI's mission of providing
training for the pharmaceutical industry, most of the course material is of
a general nature and should be of interest to persons outside the life
sciences.
