Position Title: ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, IKI COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING
Location: Bristol-Myers Squibb, Co.
Lawrenceville, New Jersey
Position Description and Responsibilities:
Provides leadership in developing a training strategy that supports the
IKI (Information & Knowledge Integration) strategic plan and meets the
needs of BMS clients globally. Establishes and implements process for
continuous measurement of training effectiveness and ensures that all
training initiatives support the strategic and operational objectives of
BMS. Works closely with client groups to adjust training to integrate
resources in their work flow processes. Networks with other learning
organizations within BMS to leverage training tools and ideas.
Influences and/or leads cross functional teams as part of targeted
training initiatives. Responsible for developing and implementing
marketing and communication plans to leverage information investments
supported by IKI. Design and execution of internal client satisfaction
surveys and product evaluations to determine resource value in relation
to client information and business needs. Effectively communicates to
staff and clients important information concerning IKI products and
services. Works with functional areas within IKI to deliver unified
client messages and awareness campaigns. Manages two direct reports.
Partners with reports to set performance objectives and development
plans provides regular feedback and coaching to enable employees to
achieve both department and personal development.
Position Requirements:
Extensive experience with end user training, including deep knowledge of
pharmaceutical information resources.
Knowledge of different delivery methods for training and ability to
effectively implement appropriate training solutions.
Experience with virtual learning environments and technologies.
Ability to lead and motivate a team as well as take an active leadership
role in a matrix environment to support client communications, marketing
and end user education.
Excellent writing, editing and critical thinking skills.
Excellent strategic planning, project management and personnel
management skills.
Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus.
Results oriented self starter.
Understands how to prioritize assignments and drive a team to success.
Ability to adapt to rapid change and to exercise creativity and
initiative.
Demonstrate a commitment to working in a collegial, team environment and
assume accountability for achieving team and personal goals.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and other applications generally
used at BMS.
Masters Degree Library and Information Science, Undergraduate Degree in
Communication or equivalent experience.
7 to 10 years of experience preferably with end user training and or
marketing and communication, including deep knowledge of pharmaceutical
information resources.
