Statistics on Business Method Patent Filings

I am searching for statistics that capture the number of software and
business method patents filed in the US over the past several years. I
already have the USPTO statistics on numbers of patents issued by class,
but the number of "filings" for business method patents is much more
elusive.

If anyone in the PIUG group has information, or a even a helpful contact
at the USPTO, to share with me I would greatly appreciate it.
