Questel*Orbit is pleased to announce the release of the Research
Disclosure database. File RDISC contains the full-text and images of
Research Disclosures from 1960 forward.
The Research Disclosure database is produced by Kenneth Mason
Publications, Ltd.
Research Disclosures, or Defensive Publications, make public an
invention or idea where a patent is inappropriate. Disclosing prevents
subsequent patenting of that invention as it can be proved that it
already existed, and was available to the public on a particular date.
The non-patent literature covered in this file is included in PCT
minimum documentation requirements and is extensively cited by both EPO
and USPTO examiners.
Research Disclosures may be cited as prior art in Patent Citations and
Search Reports and can be found in many patent files on Questel*Orbit,
including: FamPat, PlusPat, USPAT, IFIPAT, EPPATENT, WOPATENT, FRPATENT
and DEPAT. Derwent's World Patent Files contain bibliographic
references of Research Disclosures from January 1978 to March 2001.
Accessing RDISC:
Full text (image record) may only be displayed using Qweb (
