Dear Steve,

One of the reasons for this is that Patolis has be "the" file for Japanes=
e
data for years. So it explains why its coverage is the best I know.

Regards,
Pierre

Dear Mike and colleagues
This is a nice example of how we cannot rely upon summary blue-sheet
type data for coverage information. Prior to 1989, the PAJ file which
forms the basis of the JAPIO database did not include all subject areas
in the coverage. The case in question, as per the Patolis entry, has a
main IPC of H01B, which was not covered in the 1976-89 period. I am not
aware of any plans to create a back-file to include this data, so the
Patolis version is probably the best place to look for documents in this
technical field.
