Dear all,
I am looking for a *browsable* look-up facility for Derwent's Manual
Code definitions. I am aware of their website (
<http://support.derwent.com/plweb-cgi/fastweb?TemplateName=search.tmpl=
&v
iew=classification>
http://support.derwent.com/plweb-cgi/fastweb?TemplateName=search.tmpl&=
vi
ew=classification). When I look-up a known code, I am presented the
definition of that one hit, and I am NOT shown any 'surrounding' hits.
In an ordinary dictionary, you can browse the pages, and discover
interesting hits in the neighborhood of your known code.
E.g., if I were looking for 'healthy food', I get some 50 hits, and one
of them is
-code- D03-H01T
-title- hit0Low calorie, health and dietary foods, general
-scope- Except D03-H01A
-coverage- 1972
There is no indication that there is also a code D03-H01T2 available.
Title: "Other healthy foods". Correction, it used to be "Other healthy
foods", in 1994. Now it is shown as "Other health", without a year
indication.
If I were directly looking for the code D03-H01T2, I get one hit, and =
no
indication that there is also a code D03-H01T3 "Low calorie foods", and
no indication that there is no D03-H01T4. This trial and error method
takes a lot of time.
-Does anybody know of a website or tool (software) where you can browse
through the definitions?
Best regards,
Frank van der Steur
