Patent and Trade Mark Group meeting

Dear colleague,

 

One of the objectives the PATMG Management Committee has set for 2005 =
is
to organize more events and, to ensure that "our friends in the North"
don't miss out, the first of these meetings is being held in Leeds on =
19
April.

 

Stef Stephenson, Business and Patent Services Librarian at the Leeds
Central Library, has very kindly offered to host this meeting. The

The details of the meeting are now finalized and we have two speakers
from two of the UK's largest pharmaceutical corporations to shed light
on how patent information is used within their organizations. Thomson
Scientific's Bob Stembridge will report back on the IPI-ConFex Meeting
which was held in Benalmadena, Spain from 6 - 10 March. To round off
the event, Stephen Adams of Magister will bring us up to date with
matters discussed at the Standing Advisory Committee of the EPO/Patent
Documentation and Information (SACEPO/PDI) sub-group, meeting in Vienna
on 17 March.

 

The conference room at the Central Library has a capacity of 30, so,
although the event is free of charge, admission is by ticket only

The event will run from 4PM - 6PM.
