Kind Code changes for German Patents in Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) - nl#87577

Dear Colleagues,
 

In early June there will be some changes to the Kind Codes of German
Patents in Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI), including expanded
coverage to include the German Kind Codes T2, T0, T5, C5, C8 and C9 =
from
update 2005/34. Full details are given below.

 

German Patent Coverage
 
>From update 2005/34 Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) will =
additionally
cover the translations of granted EPs in French or English and
translations of PCT international applications, i.e. records with =
patent
kind codes T2 and T5, respectively.
 
>From early June the existing patent kind DE T5 in DWPI, associated with
the notification in the PatentBlatt that the respective PCT has entered
the national phase, will be converted to DE T0 (as defined in table
below) in the DWPI backfile and for ongoing data.

>From update 2005/34 DWPI will also include patent specifications
modified after opposition, i.e. patents with kind code C5 and their
corresponding corrected versions C8 and C9.
