AW: D kind code for German (DE) patent

Dear Jeremy,
When an European patent application enters the national phase in Germany, a new patent number for the German part is assigned (designated). The D code is assigned for a granted EP or PCT number in bulletin. At first, the D documents have only the bibliographic data without a real (German ) text. When the translation for this application is filed, this code will change to T (T1, T2, ...)

Hope this helps.

Best regards

Christoph

Betreff: D kind code for German (DE) patent

Greetings all -

Can someone please tell me what the D kind code on a DE patent document
means? I've pulled the list of kind codes from Delphion and D is not
listed. Thanks in advance!
