PIUG is looking for volunteers to help in a trial of the new PIUG
Discussion List. If you are interested in helping please read on!

The new PIUG Discussion List is designed to be hosted by PIUG and to add
additional functionality to the service. This increase in functionality
is mainly behind the scenes, however users will also have more control
over managing their subscriptions, including password access to their
list subscription.

This trial is designed to test the system and will last 1 or 2 months.
There will likely be a few small problems along the way, however if you
have any problems, please let me know at rodney.cruise_at_piug.org

To participate in the Trial you will need to commit to doing one very
important thing. You will need to send any messages to BOTH THE OLD AND
THE NEW LISTS. This is very important in order for this trial to be a
success.

If you are willing to help with this trial, you will first need to
subscribe to the new list. To do this visit the PIUG website here (
<http://list.piug.org/> http://list.piug.org).

Important Notes:

1. Remember, when sending messages to the LIST please send them to BOTH
lists ( <http://list.piug.org/> http://list.piug.org for more
information)

2. Many users will be using a variety of SPAM filters and
Challenge/Response services. It is very important that you adjust your
settings to ALLOW messages from Piug-discussion_at_piug.org otherwise PIUG
List emails will be rejected or will be treated as junk mail.

3. Please be patient. Subscription should be automatic but as with all
new systems there are bound to be some hitches. We will try our best to
resolve problems as quick as possible. There are some great people
helping me out on the Discussion List projects such as Martin Goffman &
Rob Vince.
