I just was playing around with that script. Although you could use it
for batch downloads, I don't see why you would want to since this data
changes all the time. Its just a flexible tool to access this
information given that the USPTO approach of distributing patent
information is pretty inflexible at least compared to the EPO.
Basically I am more interested in developing patent data compilation
tools rather than filling up hard drives, I wish INPADOC had this PAIR
stuff though, then we can use the OPS system which is much better than
doing this Perl LWP hack. I wonder why the USPTO hasn't gone the OPS
route yet, or have they and I haven't noticed yet.
