SPC protection in EU

Dear friends

I have a query regarding SPCs granted in countries like Spain, Austria.
SPCs are granted on the approved product and begins on the expiry of the
corresponding granted patent and the protection is for the product
approved for the period specified.
My query is whether the SPCs granted in these countries (as per INPADOC
) are for the product?
