USPTO Starts Pilot Outsourcing of PCT Searching to IP Australia

In case you didn't see this on the PTO website, the PTO announced on
November 7 that it has
started a small test outsourcing of PCT searching to the Australian
Patent Office, IP Australia.

"Under the terms of the pilot project, IP Australia will process 100 =
PCT
applications covering a wide range of technologies.
The USPTO will review IP Australia's work to ensure that it meets USPTO
standards for quality and accuracy. "
