The organizing committee of Beijing International Pharmaceutical &
Chemical Intellectual Property Forum is pleased to announce that the
forum will be held on April 25-28, 2006, in Beijing, China. The IP =
Forum
is jointly organized by China Intellectual Property Society (CIPS),
Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS), the Division of Chemistry and
Law of American Chemical Society (ACS-CHAL) and the China International
Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), and endorsed by the
National Bureau of Intellectual Property of China. The forum will
provide a platform for an open dialogue on Chinese and international
practices in IP law, especially patent laws as applied in the
pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
As China is rapidly integrating with the world economy, the
establishment of legal protection for intellectual property within
China's borders and its adherence to internationally accepted IP
practices are becoming increasingly important for China's economic
development. The rest of the world should stand to benefit from a China
with high standards of IP practices as well.
