Apologies for cross-postings.
Greetings,
I’m moderating a program on visual analysis tools for
patent literature and/or other sci-tech data for the
2006 Special Libraries Association (SLA) Annual
Conference in Baltimore, June 11-14.
The program is sponsored by three SLA divisions:
Engineering, Science and Technology and Chemistry.
It’s tentatively scheduled for a 90 minute slot on the
morning of Monday, June 12.
I’m looking for 3-4 speakers who could discuss
specific applications of tools such as STN AnaVist,
Thomson’s Data Analyzer, BizInt Smartcharts, etc.
If you’re interested in being a presenter or know
someone who might be, please contact me at
michael.white_at_queensu.ca or 613 533-6785.
Given the conference's proximity to Washington,
Philadelphia and New York, there is likely to be a
large number of librarians and information
professionals from law firms, government agencies, and
universities. For more information about SLA and the
annual conference, visit http://www.sla.org/.
Thanks,
Mike White
