Position Title: INFORMATION SCIENTIST
Major Responsibilities: The successful candidate must possess the ability to
formulate complex search strategies on molecular targets or
synthetic/biological entities of interest: interpret, critically evaluate
and filter literature/patents on behalf of clients working mainly supporting
Oncology R&D as well as various stages of pharmaceutical product
development. The candidate should also have expert knowledge (of the content
and structures) and experience in using data sources available on platforms
such as Datastar, Dialog, Ovid, Factiva, and Lotus Notes. Working knowledge
of html and web page development, strong Microsoft office and
Procite/Reference Manager/End-Note skills is a plus.
Qualifications: Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and a
Bachelor of science in an appropriate biological science (Zoology,
Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry) and at least 2 years
searching experience in the pharmaceutical industry.A Masters in Library
Science is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
required.
