I concur with Ms. Finke's remarks that INPADOC is probably the best
single source for multiple country monitoring, but would add the caveat
that it is good practice to supplement this with at least one other
source. I have known instances where WPI family equivalents have
actually entered their database faster than they have entered INPADOC,
as well as the other way around. It depends upon whether your
timeliness requirements are measured in days, weeks or months, as to how
crucial the choice will be. Also, research the country coverage of the
files to ensure that they actually cover the family members that you are
interested in - INPADOC's coverage is approximately twice that of WPI,
and there are also differences in publication stage coverage.
