Michael O'Hara Memorial Symposium
---------------------------------------------------------
The ACS Division of Chemical Information is hosting a symposium
memorializing the work of Mike O'Hara (1940-2002) at the New Orleans ACS
National Meeting, Mar 23-27, 2003. Mike was involved in online searching,
chemical structure database development, patent information, and Markush
structure database development. Talks in any of the above subject areas are
invited. The format will be 30 minute talks (this includes question time).
Talks with a personal touch, from those who knew Mike, are particularly
welcome, but those who did not know Mike but work in any of these subject
areas are also welcome to give technical presentations relevant to these
areas.

The online submission system for New Orleans is now active, at:
http://oasys.acs.org/acs/225nm/cinf/papers/index.cgi
To submit an abstract, please go to this website and select the Michael
O'Hara Memorial Symposium. Anyone without web access who wishes to submit an
abstract can contact me.

I look forward to reviewing submissions to this symposium. The abstract
submission deadline is Nov. 28. Please contact me if you have any questions
on this symposium.
