Dear Alan et al
re. languages of publication for PCT's. You are nearly right - there
are no full texts for non-Roman character languages, which excludes
Japanese, Chinese and Russian. That leaves (theoretically) English,
French, German and Spanish.
However, the search fields only contain explicit field labels for
searching English and French text (fields DEE and DEF respectively).
This could be taken to mean that in no full texts in German or Spanish
are available - certainly it does not give you any clue about how to
search them if they are there. I have checked and can confirm that in
fact some Spanish and German full texts ARE loaded. The field search by
publication language (label LGP) does not always seem to work, and the
calendar utility for selecting date of publication is also a bit flaky,
so I have not been able to check this out thoroughly, but there are
definitely some present from recent months.
Could someone at WIPO enlighten us further -
a) are all Roman character specifications loaded
b) if so, how do I search in the German or Spanish ones?
