RE: Job posting

Hi, Just adding my two cents. I too have a feeling that there is another
motive for this separate job listing board. I the past month I've received
only a handful of job postings from PIUG, as opposed to my daily influx of
emails asking me if: I want earn extra income part-time; Doctor approved
Tablets (approved for what?); get extra help with Viagra (I don't think so)
and a few porno ads. So a few job postings every now and then isn't a big
deal. And if I'm overwhelmed at the time...I just hit the delete key. What I
really would like is the winning numbers to the Mega Lottery in NY so I can
give up this carefree life I lead here and post my job on the PIUG list!
And now I thing I'll get another cup of coffee and get back to my searches.

Michael,

Your call for a job postings database has been answered only in the
negative, albeit politely. PIUG readers should know you now as someone who
doesn't listen to the advice of his colleagues. Or suspect you as someone
with an ulterior motive.

Aside from the many aspects of convenience mentioned already by others in
this discussion thread, there is the added value of democratizing the job
search process that an email list enables. Anyone can post a job that is
accessible to all potentially interested parties at the same time. To
change this is to give an advantage to one potential headhunter, the 'job
postings administrator'. Is this your real motive? Recruiter postings are
an important part of the PIUG list, so it would be a shame to unlevel the
playing field. Whatever your answer, an introduction about yourself would
be welcome.

Well let's try it. Can we at least do that? I would
like to think of our job postings more than just
"Nigerian Scams"
