I would definitely agree with Roy Zimmermann and Peter Steele with regard to
the information fragments to be gleaned from A0 publications. Years ago I
used to make good use of such pre-publication listings in such gazettes as
the British Official Journal and the South African Patentjoernaal. More
recently I tended to be so flooded with fully published information that I
didn't attempt to work with A0 listings, but that does not make them any less
useful. The information gleaned from them is limited, to be sure, but they
can indeed provide unique first flashes and prime you for the publications to
follow.
