To all,
I retrieved the following text from an INPADOC search
on STN. I believe the entry "PAS UNIV PENNSYLVANIA"
is an error, but how do I confirm it? I conducted the
search specifically for Assignee information.
Does anyone know what the difference is between PAS
and PA besides PAS means "Patent Assignee INPADOC
Standard"?
Another question regarding INPADOC on STN - is did I
obtain the best biblio information for legal status
i.e. assignment history by using the display command
"d ffam"?
Could someone also comment on what MEMBER and LEVEL
represent in the biblio?

In addition to this question I also attempted to
obtain legal status information for the same patent
(US 5,206,352) on IFICLS using STN. There was no
record of the patent. I spoke with a very helpful
searcher at STN about my search and she confirmed that
the patent did not exist in the database. Could
someone from IFI comment on the record of this patent
in the IFICLS database.
