respcet to the following news. I am looking for somethig like court of
appeals in united states where you get the complete judgement to read free
of cost.
Losec loses patent protection in UK AstraZeneca suffered a setback when a UK court overturned key patents on Losec, the world's second-biggest selling medicine. The High
Court ruled that two formulation patents on the ulcer treatment were invalid. The 'core' patent on the active substance in Losec, known as omeprazole, expired some time ago in the UK. But AstraZeneca had said the formulation patents ? which cover the technique for turning it into an active treatment ? meant competitors could not make cheap copies of the treatment. Ruling the patents invalid opens the way for two UK generic manufacturers to
argued that the formulation solutions were 'obvious on the basis of common general knowledge'. The judge agreed. AstraZeneca will appeal. Thanks
