Very Interesting that the 1954 Natta polypropylene case is still
generating new patents. Not following the field anymore, I had thought
that the issuance of the first US patent in the case about ten years ago
settled it. Of course, there are more than a few of us that think that
the real inventor of polypropylene is Alex Zletz, who received the
Canadian patent in the case decades ago. He retired from Amoco several
years ago and to my knowledge still lives in Naperville IL, just a mile
from the BP Amoco Labs.
