Dear everyone,
I implemented this feature to prevent indiscriminate downloading from
all users. I get a log of your computer and user name, a count of
downloading, version number of GetIPDL, but I do NOT get any patent
numbers. It is obvious for network computer programmer. I think that it
is not so big problem for normal user. I want to add the feature to
disable ability of GetIPDL for indiscriminate downloaders.

http://www.aurora.dti.ne.jp/~ujihara/GetIPDL/Historyen.html, where the
author of GetIPDL says:
"I get your logs, which do not contain any patent numbers, to prevent
indiscriminate downloading."
I think it's pretty likely the author is telling the truth, namely that
the
logs he obtains do not contain any patent numbers. If so, then Mr.
Farone
might be incorrect to say that it is a log of "everything they do." And
if
so, then it seems unlikely the author could "make a bundle" selling
intelligence.
I wonder where and how Mr. Farone gets patent images with complete
assurance of "secrecy"?
