Position Duties:
Work in a team environment to edit standard web pages for ongoing and
future projects. Implement web-based collections, troubleshoot linking
problems with existing or developed pages, and work with appropriate
sources to resolve problems. Catalog web or electronic records using
standard or non-standard cataloging systems. Work with vendors to
integrate records and systems. Search online for web page collection
development. Manage electronic resources, including cataloging
e-journals, e-books, and MARC data.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Basic knowledge of web authoring software, HTML, and computer
applications needed. Must be familiar with AACRII cataloging rules.
Education Requirements:
An ALA accredited MLS preferred. Education in other technical areas or
experience in technical services functions of libraries or information
centers can be substituted for a degree. 3 years experience in
cataloging of electronic resources or serials or technical certification
work.
