The vendor roast has become an annual event at the NE Workshop. It is one of the few times that allows an individual to direct a question to representatives of all of our database suppliers and online hosts at the same time in the same place. Although the first year focused on CAS' addition of patent families to CA records, other years have focused on US PGPs, indexing and added value features, and standardization of fields. No topic is set. It just happens. One person asks a question and starts a fire (or conflagration depending on your POV) as others pick up on the topic and run with it. A caveat is that most of the questions are directed to the major providers.
