I was able to view page images of Japanese patents via the English interface (click on first link for search form):
http://www.ipdl.jpo.go.jp/homepg_e.ipdl
But via the Japanese interface I was also able to print a PDF of that patent:
http://www.ipdl.jpo.go.jp/homepg.ipdl
Click on the first blue bar and pick first link (or click on first drop-down menu and pick first link).
It would be nice if they could add PDF capability to the English interface as well. On the other hand, they do have a
machine translation widget for the English interface. (Click on "Details.")
