Information about provisional patents (pre-patents) in Kazakhstan is published (in Russian or Kazakh languages) at the Official Gazette of the Kazakhstan Patent Office. Electronic copies (in .pdf) of these bulletins from 1993 to 2000 are available from "Russian part" of the Kazakhstan National Patent Office web-site (http://www.kazpatent.kz/publiz.htm). You may browse these bulletins, use indexes, or use a "Find" function of the Acrobat Reader.
There is special section devoted to provisional patents. In recent years, this section title is FG1A. Next information about provisional patents is available:
Patent number, IPC codes, Application date and number, inventor(s), assignee, title, priority data, PCT data (if applicable). No information about claims is included.
Every issue usually contains indexes of application and patent numbers of provisional patents. Recent bulletins (from 1998) contain also inventors' and assignee's indexes. There are no annual indexes available electronically.
>From 1993 provisional patents provisional patents had kind code B, "granted" patents had kind code C, after Marched 1998 kind codes were changed for A and C, respectively.

Kazakhstan Patent Office grants provisional Patents after a formal examination of an application without an examination of novelty and patentability. They are valid 5 years from a filing day and may be extended for 3 years.
