The details of the PIUG 2002 Annual Conference have been updated on the
PIUG web page ( <http://www.piug.org> http://www.piug.org).
Some recent meeting highlights include:
Mr. Graham Day, from the European Patent Office, will provide a
presentation relating to the esp@cenet system on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Wada, Chairman of Patolis Corp., will deliver a presentation on
Tuesday.
Ms. Ann Chapman, the current Chair of PATMG, our sister organization in
the U.K., will join us at the PIUG Business Meeting on Sunday afternoon
to provide an overview of PATMG.
Mr. Koichi Minami, from the JPO, will present "The Policy of IP
Information Dissemination - from the experience of Japan" on Tuesday
afternoon.
Ms. Kiyoko Tamura, from the JPO will present "Pharmaceutical Patents at
JPO - Search and Examination Practices in Pharmaceutical Patent
Applications", also on Tuesday afternoon.
Technology & Patent Research (TPR) International, Inc. will announce the
winner of the International Patent Information Award during Monday's
luncheon. TPR International will also sponsor the PIUG 2002 conference
bags.
